Perioperative monitoring

Continuous blood pressure, evaluated against the arterial line.

Performance has been measured in the operating room on 600+ patients across eight U.S. hospitals.

Operating room data

Measured against the arterial line.

Arterial line and Vena Vitals pressure traces over roughly an hour, plotted one above the other, with calibration points to a blood pressure cuff marked on the lower trace
Investigational device used in 62 year old male in an endovascular procedure.

Research presented at IARS 2024, IARS 2025, ASA 2025, and ASA 2026.

Perspectives

From the field.

Joseph Rinehart, MD

“Currently in the operating room, if we need a continuous measure of blood pressure, the most common approach is to use an invasive arterial line. Not all patients necessarily need that level of intervention, however, but would still benefit from a continuous blood pressure measurement. This is where the Vena Vitals sensor may really have an opportunity to shine and fill in that gap in our current monitoring capabilities.”
